I represent a mining consortium operating in the Sahel region, currently based in Burkina Faso.
In light of recent sanctions and ongoing socio-political instability, the consortium has made the strategic decision to wind up its interests in the mining sector.
This decision is primarily driven by the increasingly challenging policies, overall takeover of mining and other related businesses by the Government, and uncertain operating environment, especially to foreigners.
