Greetings, dear friend.
It is a pleasure to contact you. However, due to my critical situation, this is not a financial matter, but a health one. You probably know that cancer is not a topic to discuss at home, although I don't know you, and my contact with you was not by chance, but by divine grace.
I am married to Mr. Timothy Allin, who worked at the French Embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before passing away in 2008. We were married for eleven years and had no children. He died after a brief illness of five days.
Since his death, I have decided not to remarry. During his lifetime, my late husband deposited the sum of US$6.5 million (six million five hundred thousand dollars) in a bank in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast, West Africa. This money is still in the bank today. He earmarked it for the export of gold from the mines of Ivory Coast. My doctor recently told me that I have little time left to live due to cancer.
Upon learning of my condition, I decided to donate this money to you to help those less fortunate. You must use this money as outlined in this document. I request that you set aside 10% of the total amount for your personal use, while the remaining 90% will be donated to charities and the orphanage.
I do not want the government to take advantage of my husband's efforts. I grew up an orphan and have no family; my only goal is to honor God's name. I do this so that God may forgive my sins and receive my soul, as this illness has deeply affected me.
As soon as I receive your response, I will provide you with the contact information for the bank in Ivory Coast and send you a letter of authorization confirming that you are the rightful beneficiary of the money deposited in the bank, provided you assure me that you will act as agreed. I hereby declare this. I await your reply.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Mary Allin Timothy
