Thank you for your response. I am Reem Tosun Mesut, currently working as Finance Director of the First Abu Dhabi Bank branch located here in Dubai,U.A.E
I am contacting you because of the demise of my late client Mr.Shinji who was a citizen of Japan during my working days as a business account manager in First Abu Dhabi Bank and I would respectfully request that you keep the contents of this mail confidential and also respect the integrity of the information that you are coming across as a result of this mail. I did an intensive online search for this last name and I was fortunate to come across your e-mail address. So I am contacting you privately and as such no one is aware of this communication thus the reason why I am having us communicate strictly via our private email.
My client Late Mr.Shinji had a fixed deposit account with my bank in 2010 for 120 calendar months, valued at US$30,000,000.00 (Thirty Million United State Dollars) and the due date for this deposit contract was 2nd of February 2020. Sadly he was among the death victims in the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan that killed over 15,000 people. My bank management is yet to know about his death, I knew about it because he was my friend and I was his account officer. Below is a link of the disastrous effect of the earthquake in the country:

He did not mention any Next of Kin/ Heir when the account was opened, and he was not married with no children. Last week my Bank Management requested that he should give instructions on what to do about his funds, if he'd like to renew the contract. I knew this will happen and that is why I have been looking for a means to handle the situation, because if my Bank Directors happens to know that he is dead and does not have any Heir, they will take the funds for their personal use, so I don't want such to happen
My proposition to you is to seek your consent to present you as the next-of-kin and beneficiary of my named client since you have the same last name, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. This account belonged to my late client Mr.Shinji who died without a next of kin and you happen to share the same last name as my late client. Several efforts has been made by me over the years to reach out to any of my late client's relatives without success.
It is better that we claim the money than allowing the Bank Directors to take it for their own personal interests, they are all very rich already. I am a fair person, so I am suggesting we share the funds equal, 50/50% to both parties. Right now the account risks been transferred to the government in 10 days time, that's why I am contacting you to assist me in pulling this funds from the bank as his next of kin, then we can share the amount on the mutually agreed-upon percentage.
I propose we share the proceeds 50/50% to both parties and I plan to donate the entire funds to charity as my share will assist me to start my own charity foundation which has always been my dream to help the less privileged and poor children here in the Middle East and Asia and I pray that you would do the same in your country with your share of this money. I think this is fair and If this business proposition offends your moral values, do accept my apology. I must use this opportunity to implore you to exercise the utmost indulgence to keep this matter extraordinarily confidential, whatever your decision, while I await your prompt response.
There is no risk involved for you as the transaction will be executed under a legitimate arrangement with the lawyer in charge that will protect you from any breach of law and success is guaranteed if we co-operate on this. The bank will release the account to you because of my recommendation of you as the next of kin.
I will give you all the necessary information about this deal when I get your response. I anticipate your cooperation and do treat this proposal with the utmost confidentially and urgency for a 100% success. Do not take undue advantage of the trust i have chosen to bestow in you.
Let me know your mind on this before we proceed and please do treat this information as TOP SECRET.
Best Regards,
Ms.Reem Tosun Mesut
