Commodity scams are scams involving the sale and purchase of commodities. In many cases the scams will be based on the same of previous metals. Gold and gold dust is a very popular modality.

In all cases though these scams involve a type of fraudulent criminal practice known as “Advance Fee Fraud”, a.k.a. “419 Scams”.
