My name is Harry Abbott, I am a lawyer with Harry Abbott Solicitors, a Law firm based in United Kingdom. It may surprise you to receive this letter from me, since there has been no previous correspondence between us.
There is an unclaimed “permanent life insurance policy” held by our deceased client. It is an unclaimed “payable on-Death” (POD) savings monetary deposit in the sum of Twelve Million Eight Hundred Twenty Thousand USA Dollars ($12,820,000) with a major bank here in the UK. The policy holder was one of our client in the name of Mr. Bob. He worked with Scottish Power firm in the UK and passed away in an accident more than nine years ago at a UK nuclear plant. However since his death no one has come forward for the claim and all our effort to locate any blood relative have proved abortive.
The Insurance Company codes stipulates that the insured permanent policy (POD) not claimed within 10 years must be passed to the Crown (the Royal Family) as ownerless property (or ‘bona vacantia’). Therefore I ask for your consent to be in partnership with me for the claim of this policy benefit in view of the fact that you share the same last name and nationality with the deceased.
If you permit me to add your name to this policy, all proceeds will be processed on your behalf, and paid out to you. I wish to point out that I want 10% of the proceeds to be donated to a charity organization, and the 90% to be shared equally between us.
