This scam is a fake job offer which involves a parcel reshipping scam where the scammers are using either illegal money and/or stolen credit cards to illegally purchase merchandise online. The scammers will then have the illegally purchased items shipped to a scam victim’s home address. The scam victim's so-called job is then to repackage and reship the illegally purchased items to another address provided by the scammer. What in fact occurs is that the scam victim reships the illegal merchandise to the scammer. The scam victim is then committing a crime while the scammer remains anonymous such that any legal problems will fall onto the scam victim. This is what is known as a “parcel mule” situation and a very dangerous and illegal arrangement for the scam victim as soon as the victim reships what are now stolen and illegal goods. It may also be considered to be a money laundering crime.
