My Dear,
I am sharing this information with you because of some past situation in Hong Kong since April of last year, which arose as a result of the demand for the total removal of the extradition law to the demand for a full democracy. My dear country is on the verge of collapsing as China has refused to grant the request of the protesters. Our country is no longer safe for children and young adults; hence the more reason I want to relocate is for the safety of my kids and as well give them a better life. There has been a long series of violent clashes between the police and protesters, unlawful in castration of people is predominant now. Currently we have another issue which is COVID19 brought by China upon us mainly to stop the massive protest of Hong Kongers and to shut down the economy of other Countries that would speak up for Hong Kong. Regrettably/ unfortunately now the virus has become a global issue. Relocating and settling down with children requires a lot of funds which I do not have and it is necessary we do so now.
I will like to introduce myself, my name is Mrs Emily Zong. I am the Chief Operating Officer of OCBC Wing Hang Bank Limited in Hong Kong. I am an Investment Director responsible for the management of private portfolios of clients including trust, charities and pension funds. I would respectfully request that you keep the contents of this mail confidential and respect the integrity of the information you come by as a result of this mail. I have been in charge of this department for more than 13 years and to the best of my knowledge I have discharged my duty with equity and fairness.
While reviewing the financial report by my department I discovered some portfolios belonging to some deceased clients who had no next-of-kin to inherit their funds. Some of the portfolios contain: 10 million, 16.5 million, 18 and 20 million (all in dollars) among others.
Hence, I am contacting you about the portfolio containing 16.5 million Dollars (Sixteen Million Five hundred Thousand Dollars) belonging to Mr. Ignacio (the deceased) with a subject matter; Ref: LB/TSB/958/042/0511. In 2010, the subject matter; Ref: LB/TSB/958/042/0511 came to our bank. To engage in business discussions with our Private Banking Services Department. He informed us that he had a financial portfolio of ($16.500, 000) Sixteen million, five hundred Dollars, which he wished to have us turn over (invest) on his behalf. I was the officer assigned to his case; I made numerous suggestions in line with my duties as the Director of the Private Banking Services Department, especially given the volume of funds he wished to put into our bank.
A few months later his attention was needed regarding a business which I was going to discuss with him but I was unable to reach him, I made futile efforts to locate him I immediately passed the task of locating him to the internal investigations department of our bank. Four days later, information started to trickle in, that he was apparently dead, a person who suited his description was declared dead of a heart attack in Cannes, South of France; we were soon able to gather more information and the cause of death was confirmed. The bank immediately launched an investigation into possible surviving next of kin to alert about the situation and also to come forward to claim his funds. If you are familiar with private banking affairs, those who patronize our services usually prefer anonymity, but also some levels of detachment from conventional processes. In his bio-data form, he listed no next of kin. In the field of private banking, opening an account with us means no one will know of its existence, accounts are rarely held under a name; depositors use numbers and codes to make the accounts anonymous. The bank also gives the choice to depositors of having their mail sent to them or held at the bank itself, ensuring that there are no traces of the account and as I said, rarely do they nominate next of kin. The bank has spent great amounts of money trying to track the family of the deceased; they have investigated for months and have found no family but however, the investigation has officially come to an end.
I am prepared to place you in the position next–of–kin and have our Bank release the funds to you as the closest surviving relatives as he did not indicate any next–of–kin while opening the investment with us. Upon receipt of the deposit, I am prepared to share the money with you in half. That is, I will simply nominate you as the beneficiary and have them release the deposit to you. We will share the fund 50/50.
I assure you that I could have the deposit released to you in a few days. I will simply inform our bank of the final closing of the file relating to the deceased customer. If you find yourself interested to work with me, please contact me specifically, if you give me a positive response, I will initiate this process towards a quick conclusion as I really need to relocate as soon as possible. It is important to inform you that under no condition should you contact me via official channels. I will simply deny knowing you and about this project.
I repeat I do not want you contacting me through our officials lines neither do I want you contacting me through my official account, you can only contact me through this personal email I write you with. I do not want any direct link between you and me. My official lines are not secured lines as they are periodically monitored to assess our level of customer care in line with our Total Quality Management Policy, Please observe this instruction religiously.
I ask that you do not destroy my chance of surviving. If you will not work with me let me know and let me move on with my life but do not destroy me. I am a family woman, this is an opportunity to take them to a safer country and give them a better live.
I know within me that nothing ventured is nothing gained, and that success and riches never come easy or on a platter of gold. This is the one truth I have learned from my private banking clients. Do not betray my confidence. If we can be of one accord, we should act swiftly on this.
In the light of the above, it will be appreciated if you can confirm your readiness and willingness to work with me in executing this project in a very discrete and quiet manner, to avoid any form of distraction and prattling that will jeopardize this project, as you will agree that lose lips sink ships.
I request you to please also provide me with a swift response, to enable me confirm your readiness to cooperate with me in executing this project.
At this juncture I shall wait for your swift response.
Regard
Mrs Emily Zong
