Helloooo )) Have a nice end to hot Wednesday)) Although I’m not sure
if it’s as hot where you are as it is in Kyrgyzstan. How is the
weather there? We’re having a very warm summer this year. There hasn't
been much rain. We had a very snowy winter—which is a sign that the
summer will be scorching—and that’s exactly what happened. Global
warming must be real, after all ))—our home, Planet Earth, is likely
overheating due to human activity. What good things did this week
bring you? Besides me, of course! ))) I’ve been working hard. The
weekend is coming up—and then more work, though of a different kind:
in our garden. Tomorrow, I’m heading there for the whole weekend with
my mom, aunt, and uncle. There’s soil work to be done, harvesting, and
tending to the currant and raspberry bushes. As always, there will be
plenty to do )) but I’m not discouraged. It’s a place where I find
peace and refreshment for my soul and heart—even when my back aches by
the end of the day )))) I hope you can understand my English? I’ve
been trying to send you an email from my address,
semitsvetiksvetlanochka@yandex.com, for a week and a half now. ...but
my emails keep bouncing back with some sort of inexplicable delivery
error (((( I’m going to try emailing you from my work address now.
This is my second job. Please reply to the same address I’m using to
send this email: svetlana.tradingmanager@yandex.ru It’s an
international company that manufactures printed circuit boards. I
handle recruitment for staff who test, diagnose, and monitor payment
terminals. People are needed in various countries around the world to
test these terminals—whether they’re for cryptocurrency purchases,
banking, or healthcare services. We track transaction speeds and
times, and then I compile various reports. My job is mostly paperwork
and recruiting testers in different countries. I started working there
recently; it’s a part-time, remote position. It’s a new experience for
me, and I enjoy it. There are certain difficulties due to the
sanctions, of course, but it’s all manageable and solvable. No one
wants to lose income. Politicians everywhere lie to their people to
score political points, while businesses pretend to leave the Russian
market but actually just change their names and keep selling goods
through intermediaries. In short—it’s all about globalization and
profit. As for me, I work in Kyrgyzstan. I live jin the capital,
Bishkek. I live with my mother. I also have an adult daughter who is
currently studying at Charles University in the Czech Republic. I’m
actually half-Belarusian and half-Russian, and I have relatives—and
therefore blood ties—in Ukraine. Basically, I’m the embodiment of
Slavdom in every sense of the word :))) I hold dual citizenship:
Russian and Kyrgyz. My father was originally from Kyrgyzstan. He
served in the army here and brought my mother over when they were
young; that’s where I was born. But we didn’t live in Kyrgyzstan for
long. Later, my parents and I moved to Russia to live with... ...to my
mother's parents in the city of Kursk. It is a northern city. I lived
in Kursk until the war in Ukraine began—or rather, until 2023. My
mother, my daughter, and I decided to move back to our homeland,
Kyrgyzstan, because we could no longer bear living in Russia amidst
all the hardships and the constant shelling of the Kursk region. I
imagine you’ve heard a lot about Kursk and how Ukrainian troops even
seized part of the region's territory—though it has since been fully
retaken. I have relatives in various parts of Ukraine. I know a great
deal about the nature of this conflict, which had been brewing for
nearly twenty years; politicians on both sides predicted this war as
far back as seventeen years ago. Now, that festering wound left by the
collapse of the USSR has burst open and is literally bleeding as the
war enters its active phase. All in all, it was a terrifying
experience, and I don't even want to think about it now. So, my mother
and I have been living here in Bishkek for three and a half years. My
daughter, Irina, was a good student and graduated from school here
with a gold medal. She was accepted into a prestigious university in
the Czech Republic and now lives and studies in Prague. I am very
proud of my daughter. I am a widow; my husband died of heart disease.
Here in Bishkek, I work as a restaurant administrator. Restaurant
traffic drops in the summer because people often spend their time
outdoors. I have more free time then and don't get quite as tired. If
you receive my letter, please reply. I would love to get to know you
better. And if you haven't found a woman yet and your heart is free, I
would be happy to get to know you more closely. I hope you can
understand my English well. I use Google Translate to help construct
my sentences correctly, though I feel I still don't know the language
very well. In any case, even if you have already found happiness and
love, please write to me so I know. I... I’ll understand. I hope we
can build something more than just friendship... And two lonely hearts
will find happiness in this vast world... By the way, speaking of
loneliness... Acquaintances who don't know me very well often ask why
someone as beautiful as I am is single. But I can't really answer why
I'm "alone"—after all, I had a beloved husband, and I have a daughter
and a mother. I’m not truly alone. Of course, I understand what they
mean. Am I lonely? No. Do I want simple female happiness and a beloved
man by my side? Definitely yes. I’m human, and that’s normal. As for
my beauty—well, I have my parents and nature to thank for that. I work
in a restaurant, so I see exactly how both men and women behave. You
could probably write a book about it. But I was raised in a
conservative family; my parents always honored traditional values
and brought me up that way, and I’m very grateful to them for it.
I’ve raised my daughter the same way. Maybe I’m old-fashioned in some
respects, but I’d rather be that way than act like some of the women I
see in the restaurant. For instance, there are quite beautiful women
who seem to have no self-respect; they’re ready to do anything for a
nice dinner or a wild night with a man who’s bought them a glass of
wine. It looks so cheap. So undignified. A woman should always carry
herself with dignity. But men often behave lewdly, vulgarly, and
disgracefully, too. Many get drunk—it’s a pitiful sight. Or it’s the
opposite: they’re proud of themselves, well-groomed, and successful,
yet they act like kings, as if everyone around them owes them
something—from the waiter to the woman they think they can buy with
money. Sure, maybe they can buy a girl for the night, but they look
for a wife the same way. Can you imagine? All of this feels so wild to
me. Sometimes, working as a restaurant administrator, seeing and
hearing these things makes me want to sink through the floor. It
sometimes feels like the world has gone mad—like everything and
everyone has a price tag. Money has never held the top spot in my
value system—or even the second. Of course, it’s hard to get by
without it, but living with the feeling that a man has "bought" you?
That’s immoral. It’s demeaning, and I could never respect women who do
that. And honestly, the men who "buy" them don't respect them
either—so why should I? You won't believe this, but wealthy men ask me
to marry them once a month, if not more often. I despise them. They
think they can buy love with money. I am convinced that love cannot be
bought. You can buy health, sure, but not love. Don't think I'm a
fool, okay? Just a romantic idealist. Above all, I want a man by my
side who knows how to appreciate life's gifts—a mature man who is
caring and has a sense of humor. Someone who knows what he wants. Age
isn't the main thing for me; on the contrary, I hope to find maturity
in my partner—someone who takes responsibility for his words and
actions. It’s important to have the essentials in a relationship:
mutual understanding, mutual respect, and, of course, shared interests
and values. And most importantly, I want a partner who can be
completely open with me about every aspect of our lives. Someone who
loves children and animals. I’m sociable—I think you’ve gathered that
from this letter—friendly, self-confident, and reasonably modest. I
believe there is a man out there who can change my life for the better
and fill it with joy and happiness. Maybe that man is you? In return,
I can fill our home with coziness, warmth, and loving care for my man.
To offer support, and to be a friend and a loving wife. After all,
statistics show that married men lead more fulfilling, happy, and long
lives than bachelors do. I believe in dreams. I believe in luck, and I
try to believe in miracles. I don’t know what the future holds, but I
want to believe that we could build a warm and harmonious
relationship. I would be so happy if we both managed to find what
we’ve been dreaming of. I look forward to hearing about you and seeing
some photos. Tell me, how do you spend your weekends? What do you
enjoy doing? I am ready for a serious relationship, and I hope you are
too. If I meet a wonderful man and fall in love with him, naturally,
I’ll want to be with him. That’s why I’m willing to look for a best
friend, a lover, and a future husband in another country—distance
doesn't scare me at all. What matters far more is experiencing those
feelings and meeting that special person—a kindred spirit, a soulmate.
I hope that *you* are the man I’m looking for. I’m afraid I might be
boring you with my musings on life, love, and happiness—sorry! But
I’ll finish my thought anyway. So, where was I? Ah, yes—Love. Omar
Khayyam. Do you know that philosopher and poet? I’ve loved his verses
since childhood. By the way, I write poetry myself—it’s one of my
hobbies. Anyway, Omar Khayyam has some wonderful verses on this
subject. I’m not sure if the translation will be exact, but I’ll write
it the way I feel is right, just to wrap up my train of thought—and
then I’ll leave you alone! I’m afraid of becoming a bore before we’ve
even really started talking and getting to know each other. Anyway,
here are two of his poems:

In this world, Love is the adornment of mankind;
To be without Love is to be without friends.

He whose heart has not clung to the draught of love
Is a donkey, even if he wears no donkey's ears.

And one more thing:

To live life wisely, one must know a great deal;
For a start, remember two important rules:

Better to go hungry than to eat just anything,
And better to be alone than with just anyone.

I hope I haven't bored you too much. I look forward to your reply. I’d
love to learn a bit about your life and personality. Take care.
Wishing you good luck and a cheerful mood. Svetlana.
